Which Escape Ladder is right for you?
Pick a ladder based on the number of stories from your exit window to the ground. And remember, experts recommend ladders for every upstairs bedroom. So take advantage of our discount Ladder Packs for Second and Third floors.
Develop a Safety Plan
Decide your exit signal, plan your exit route and agree a safe meeting point. Then practice!
Most fires happen between the hours of 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. So it is recommended you practise your drill after everyone has gone to sleep. Make sure children are trained to wake up with the fire alarm sounds.

Q: How to choose a quality escape ladder?
A: The best emergency escape ladders are steel chain ladders that have standoffs that can be customized for every step. Standoffs are removable attachments that rest against the building and hold the ladder in place. Make sure the ladder can support more than person at a time. The recommended load is 1000 lbs.
Q: Can escape ladders be used more than once?
A: Our emergency escape ladders are designed for emergency use only. However we do encourage practicing a safety plan and recommend doing so from the ground level window. It would be a good idea to use a towel or blanket to protect window sill while practicing.
Q: Is assembly of the escape ladder required?
A: Assembly is not required. Each escape ladder is parachute loaded at the factory and ready to be deployed in the event of an emergency.
Q: What are the extra standoffs for?
A: Additional standoffs are included for added stability where there are special conditions, for exmaple, lower glass windows or obstructions directly below the escape ladder window. Please see instructions included in the box or simply go to the following link for more information on using standoffs
