Can the ladders be used more than once?
Our emergency escape ladders are designed for emergency use only, however we do encourage practicing a safety plan and recommend doing so from the ground level window. It would be a good idea to use a towel or blanket to protect window sill while practicing.

Is assembly required? What are the extra standoffs for?
No assembly is not required. Each escape ladder is parachute loaded at the factory and ready to be deployed in the event of an emergency. As an option additional standoffs are included for added stability for various egress wall conditions ie: lower glass window or obstruction directly below where escape ladder egress window. Please see instructions included in the box or simply go to the following link for more information on using standoffs:
